Our 40th
Anniversary Celebrations in 2010
Fun Day
On
Saturday 26th June, one of those scorching hot days
with lots of flies, we celebrated Wyfold's 40th anniversary with
an Open Day.

Riding and driving
demonstrations took place including a handy pony, dressage to
music by a rider who has only been with us for two years, pairs
dressage to music, driving to the Ascot Gavotte and a finale of
a musical ride on the theme of Robin Hood.

The Mayoress of Henley, Jeni
Wood, presented commemorative rosettes and the celebration cake
was cut by Moo Nowell-Smith (Oxfordshire County Instructor) and
Waveney Luke (Oxfordshire County Chairwoman). There were plenty
of stalls and games for people to spend their money and a long
queue for the hog roast.
All
in all it was very successful and many people were most
appreciative. At one point one of the riders took the
microphone from my hand and made an impromptu speech of thanks
which came right from the heart and really said it all. I had
no words to follow it!
